HomeX Services Group is Hiring a Purchasing Specialist Near Lincoln, RI

The Purchasing Specialist will play a key role in supporting the procurement process, from requisition to order fulfillment. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and the capacity to collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and cost-effective purchasing. This position will report to the Purchasing Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review purchase requisitions, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Obtain vendor quotes and analyze pricing proposals, comparing costs from different suppliers to achieve cost savings.
  • Generate and process purchase orders accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and track the status of purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication with vendors regarding order status, changes, and confirmations.
  • Communicate with vendors and manufacturers regarding returns and warranties to facilitate the process of receiving credit.
  • Continually track the status of credits and reach out to vendors when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchases.
  • Address any issues or delays in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in procurement software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
